Textured Country Wedding Cake Elizabethtown Kentucky June 5, 2012

This lovely white textured buttercream wedding cake was adorned with small white and green daisies and bright green button mums.  The reception was held at the American Legion Hall in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.  The bride and groom chose to have several unique flavors for their cake tiers.  Champagne with sliced fresh strawberries, a spice cake with orange buttercream, red velvet with the traditional cream cheese and champagne cake with fresh strawberry filling.  The cake was topped with a silver monogramed “T”.

The wedding cake is of varied shapes, off-set, covered in marshmallow fondant and accented with huge Stargazer Lillies from 4 Toad Farms. The design is composed of fondant polka dots and paisley shapes that have royal icing piping to add detail. The ribbon is made of fondant. The layers of the cake are of varying flavors and fillings. The Talon Winery wedding had 5 two tiered cakes, a 3 tiered cake and 10 pies. The cakes were a variety of flavors and decorated in turquoise blue with red accents. Tennis Birthday Cake with Cupcakes July 19, 2009

The tennis court birthday cake was created for a party in Louisville, KY. The lower tier was a spice cake with a fresh apple filling and a dolce de leche icing under the fondant. The top tier was a white cake with fresh lemon filling and a vanilla butter cream under the marshmallow fondant. The cupcakes were strawberry with a fresh strawberry filling and a cream cheese icing. The net was created out of royal icing and allowed to dry for several days. The pink tennis balls were made from fondant and then decorated with royal icing.

This beautiful wedding cake with accenting cupcakes was created for an afternoon wedding that was held at the Undulata Horse Farm in Shelbyville, KY.  The cake and cupcakes were a white cake with a fresh lemon fillling and a fresh lemon buttercream.  The cake was decorated in a soft yellow with white royal icing swirls and a lavender border.  The fresh flowers on the top of the cake were white lillies, freesia and lavender austromaria.  The flowers were provided by The Flower Basket in Perryville, KY.
