Grand Opening – The Twisted Sifter Cake Shoppe – Danville, KY January 31, 2010

Many thanks to all who ventured out into the snow for our grand opening on Saturday.  A fun time was had by all.

A special thanks to Charlie Perry for the broadcast.  Charlie discovered that our daughter, Chloe, may be one of America’s next broadcasting stars.  Who knew she so would be so comfortable with the microphone.

To Bob and Maureen Stovall, where would we be without great friends like you.  Brad and Cindy, thanks for the support all the way from Scottsdale.  We missed you.  But we know you were there in spirit.

Ashley and Brittney……..You’re superstars!!!  Kathy and I couldn’t have pulled this off without you two.

To our families whom we’ve seen very little of lately.  Thanks for the support and believing.  It’s been an insane month.  We’ll need it again when “wedding season” arrives. 😉

University of Kentucky, Danville High School Admiral’s Football Helmet Groom’s Cake

This football helmet groom’s cake was two tiers of chocolate cake with a chocolate buttercream icing with a chocolate ganache pour.  The helmet is a carved cake with a marshmallow fondant.  The groom had attended Danville High School and then University of Kentucky.  Each side of the helmet had each school’s logo.

Sweet 16 Whimsical 2 tier zebra and polka dot print birthday cake

This cute whimsical birthday cake was created for a sweet 16 birthday.  The bottom tier of the cake is covered in a hot pink marshmallow fondant and black zebra stripes.  The top tier is covered in a white marshmallow fondant and decorated in multi-colored polka dots.  The top swirls were created with gum paste.

We created this cake for the Miss Kentucky Teen USA pagent.  The three tier cake is covered in white fondant is the flowers are hand painted.  The crown’s jewels are swarovski crystals.
