 This beautiful Peacock Feather and Henna inspired cake was for a wonderful bride with a bohemian spirit.  The piping is based on a henna design.  Each tier of the cake was a different flavor including one that was gluten free.  The cake was delivered to Natasha’s in downtown Lexington, KY.

Snare Drum Birthday Cake December 17, 2010

This huge 16″ round snare drum cake was created for a drummer’s birthday.  The cake was 3 layers of red velvet cake with cream cheese filling and icing.  The cake was covered in red and white fondant.  The drum sticks are made from marshmallow fondant too.

September 25th kicks off the traditional Oktoberfest season, so what better way than with great beer, bratwurst, cheeses, and other fine foods–all out on the street.

$15 will get you a dozen beer tastings, as well as tastes of our fine food offerings. Even better, the money will go to the Heart of Danville as they raise money for outdoor seating and benches in our historic downtown.

Tickets can be purchased at V-The Market, Heart of Danville, or the Visitor Center. There are only 500 tickets available, so act quickly!

Turtle Birthday Cake – Lebanon, KY August 23, 2009

turtle cakeThis snapping turtle cake is one of two cakes that were created for a birthday party for 2 brothers. As part of their birthday celebration they were having the “Turtle-Man” of Lebanon, KY come to their party to pull a snapping turtle from their pond. One of the cakes was a spice cake with the fresh apple filling and cream cheese icing. The second cake was a dark chocolate with a semi sweet ganache filling and a white chocolate icing. Both cakes were covered in a vanilla fondant with chocolate ganache smeared on the cakes to resemble mud.

Tennis Birthday Cake with Cupcakes July 19, 2009

The tennis court birthday cake was created for a party in Louisville, KY. The lower tier was a spice cake with a fresh apple filling and a dolce de leche icing under the fondant. The top tier was a white cake with fresh lemon filling and a vanilla butter cream under the marshmallow fondant. The cupcakes were strawberry with a fresh strawberry filling and a cream cheese icing. The net was created out of royal icing and allowed to dry for several days. The pink tennis balls were made from fondant and then decorated with royal icing.
