This pretty textured square wedding cake was accompanied by several different flavored cupcakes.  The wedding was outdoors under a tent at the Berry Hill Mansion in Frankfort, Kentucky.  The cake was iced in a vanilla buttercream and adorned with fresh flowers.  The cake flavors were red velvet with cream cheese and honeyed cinnamon with vanilla buttercream.

Fondant Class at The Twisted Sifter Cake Shoppe starts February 2, 2011 January 17, 2011

A new fondant class begins on Wednesday, February 2, 2011.  The class will cover making fondant, rolling out and covering a cake, designing a two tier cake, flowers, bows, and much more.  The cost of the class is $25.00.

16 oz of jet puff marshmallows

1 – 2 lb bag of powder sugar

1/2 cup of crisco

Grand Opening – The Twisted Sifter Cake Shoppe – Danville, KY January 31, 2010

Many thanks to all who ventured out into the snow for our grand opening on Saturday.  A fun time was had by all.

A special thanks to Charlie Perry for the broadcast.  Charlie discovered that our daughter, Chloe, may be one of America’s next broadcasting stars.  Who knew she so would be so comfortable with the microphone.

To Bob and Maureen Stovall, where would we be without great friends like you.  Brad and Cindy, thanks for the support all the way from Scottsdale.  We missed you.  But we know you were there in spirit.

Black, White, Pink Wedding Cake April 27, 2009

This three tiered vanilla buttercream with black cornelli lace and fresh pink roses was for a beautiful spring wedding located at The Maple Hill Bed and Breakfast in Springfield, KY. The bride chose a white cake with a fresh lemon filling and a fresh lemon buttercream for both the top and bottom layers. The middle tier was a chocolate cake filled with a chocolate ganache. Each layer was wrapped with a 5/8″ satin ribbon.
