Sunflower Wedding Cake

A very pretty cake for a summer wedding.  The cake was iced in a textured vanilla buttercream and adorned with fresh sunflowers from the bride’s mother’s garden.  The cake flavor was a white cake with a refreshing lemon curd filling.   The wedding and reception were held on the family’s farm.  The meal was catered by Lucky Dog BBQ of Perryville.  The wedding planner was Michelle Landers of Weddings by Michelle in Lexington, Kentucky.

 This beautiful Peacock Feather and Henna inspired cake was for a wonderful bride with a bohemian spirit.  The piping is based on a henna design.  Each tier of the cake was a different flavor including one that was gluten free.  The cake was delivered to Natasha’s in downtown Lexington, KY.

Black and White Damask Wedding Cake by The Twisted Sifter Lexington Kentucky December 6, 2011

This beautiful black and white damask print wedding cake was created for a bride and groom in Stanford, Kentucky.  The wedding reception was held at the Stanford Community Arts Center.  The cake was iced in champagne buttercream and adorned with black fondant cutouts.  The 4 tier cake was champagne with fresh raspberry filling.  Mini vanilla cheesecakes accompanied the bridal cake.

This pretty textured square wedding cake was accompanied by several different flavored cupcakes.  The wedding was outdoors under a tent at the Berry Hill Mansion in Frankfort, Kentucky.  The cake was iced in a vanilla buttercream and adorned with fresh flowers.  The cake flavors were red velvet with cream cheese and honeyed cinnamon with vanilla buttercream.
